What are your roles and responsibilities for clients of Wessler Engineering?

I am a CAD Technician for Wessler's Wastewater Group. I create and model buildings, structures and equipment using AutoCAD and Revit softwares during design and development of wastewater treatment processes. Each creation and model is based on the client’s needs, as well as with the guidance of our engineers.

Tell us one thing you want each of our clients to know about you.

I was born and raised in the Philippines. Before I came to the U.S. I was working in the Middle East, in Saudi Arabia, with a company called Aramco as a Cost Estimator for two years.  After that I came to the U.S. and lived in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1995.  I moved to Indiana and went back to school from 2003 to 2006 and earned my Associate's Degree in Computer Drafting and Design.  I started my career at Malcolm Pirnie/URS in 2006, and worked there for almost two years as a CAD Technician. I was then, hired by HNTB in May 2008 and worked there until March 2016. That is when I started my career at Wessler. I am grateful to Wessler Engineering for giving me the opportunity to be part of the company.

What does the "Wessler Way" mean to you?

In my opinion, this means making our client satisfied, in terms of time and money, and giving them the best design solutions for any projects or proposals we are doing for them.

What is the most important lesson you have learned over the last year?

Save money as much as possible while working, so that if you endure hard times, or are out of work,  you do not have to worry about much financially.

Outside of work, what are some of your favorite hobbies?

I usually spend time working in the house. I love doing all kinds of stuff inside and outside of the house.  So, if you have something to fix in your house, just let me know! I also like to spend my time with my son.

How long have you been in this industry? What made you want to choose this career path?

I have been working in this career since 2005. I decided to be in this career path because I love doing it...it is both challenging and exciting!

Since it is officially Fall, do you give in to the Pumpkin Spice craze like so many others?

I love Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte, but it is just too expensive. I can’t afford to have it every day,  so I just end up drinking my home-made brewed coffee every morning.
