In our Employee Spotlight interview, Bill McGuire, tells us a little more about himself.

What are your roles and responsibilities for the clients of Wessler Engineering?

To provide quality inspection, knowledge of the project, to work with the owner and the contractor on issues that affect the project and to make sure that the specs and design of the project are followed and completed correctly.

Tell us one thing you would like each of our clients to know about you.

I have been involved in construction in one way or another my entire life, and even though I still learn something new it seems like every day I have seen and done a lot.

We’re in the middle of summer in beautiful Indiana, tell us about one of your favorite summertime traditions.

Grilling 1” thick pork chops in the backyard with family & friends.

How does your experience as a pipe fitter make you a better RPR?

As a Pipefitter, plumber & welder I have worked on many different types of projects from residential to commercial. This has given me the opportunity to do and view many other areas of construction giving me a better insight on methods as well as doing the job correctly.

What is the most important lesson you have learned this year?

To continue to rely on co-workers to aid in making Wessler projects successful.

What organizations/clubs were you involved in while in elementary school, and what did you like the most and least about them?

As a kid growing up I was involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4H and Babe Ruth League baseball. Liked being involved in all these as a kid. The things I liked the most from all was meeting new people and learning new things with some carrying into my adult life. The things I liked the least was some of the people not wanting to be as involved with what was being provided and not appreciating what we had being in a small town and rural area.

Tell us about your favorite memory of summer time in Indiana when you were growing up.

Growing up along the banks of the White River, working with my father, grandfather and uncle on our farm, plumbing and fabrication shop.

What does the “Wessler Way” mean to you?

The Wessler way means that we all work together as a team on projects to make sure we design and build what is the best solution to client’s needs. More than a project takes on a new meaning when the team from Wessler works hard on all aspects of the project from permits, funding, design and construction to make the project go as smooth as possible and built to perform as intended.
