Gary Ruston, IWEA Board President

Ruston, Gary.jpgWessler's own Gary Ruston, P.E., BCEE, has been elected as President of the Indiana Water Environment Association (IWEA) for 2018! Gary has been a member of IWEA - a leading organization in the State on water quality issues - since 1990.

He is a Senior Project Manager in Wessler's Wastewater Group. Gary is not only a registered professional engineer in Indiana, but is also a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) and brings more than 20 years of experience in the wastewater industry.

Gary has served in several roles in IWEA. He was an Operations and Maintenance Committee member beginning in 2006, where he also served as Chair and Vice-Chair for six years. He has also served on the IWEA Board as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer, Vice-President, President Elect, and now President.

"IWEA has so many dedicated individuals on the Board, serving on the committees, and in the general membership who work hard every day in many different capacities to ensure our water stays clean and safe," said Gary. "It’s a tremendous honor to serve such a great organization that is directly connected to my work and career in the water industry. I look forward to this great opportunity to contribute towards IWEA’s continued growth, increasing the resources and educational opportunities for our membership, and maintaining our role at the forefront of the water quality industry."
